Note: Please consult the key below for a relevant response to your inquiry.
This integration allows your store to connect your inventory directly from your point-of-sale (POS) systems to the Uber Eats and Postmates platforms.
Your new inventory management system will enable your store to match your inventory on the Uber Eats and Postmates platforms and maintain accurate stock levels directly from your POS system.
Continue to manage all new items, quantities, and prices directly on your POS as you would for your in-store operations.
Connected POS: Continue to keep your new items, quantity, and prices up to date on your POS.
Connected POS: Your in-stock alcohol inventory in your POS (wine, beer, liquor) will be visible on Uber Eats and Postmates. Additionally, any relevant extras you carry may be automatically linked. This includes mixers, garnishes, citrus, and other drinkware that shoppers may be interested in to complete their orders.
To best align with the goals of our online shoppers, your integrated inventory may be limited to include only relevant extras that your store carries. This includes mixers, garnishes, citrus, and other drinkware that shoppers may be interested in to complete their orders. Due to the nature of our integration, these extra items will automatically display for your store if they are listed with a positive quantity in your POS system.
At this time, we may not be able to accommodate special requests for linking extra items.
Uber Eats and Postmates Only OR Overlapping - Connected POS: Your inventory information, including new items, quantities, and pricing, will be updated daily. Each morning, this integration will pull the latest values from your POS system and send them to Uber Eats and Postmates.
Overlapping - Manual Feed: Your inventory information, including new items, quantities, and pricing, will be updated daily.
You should continue to hide and unhide or add new items as availability and stock changes over time. Orders from Uber Eats or Postmates will not programmatically update your inventory quantities.
At this time, the item replacement process for Uber Eats and Postmates orders will not be changing. For your Uber Eats and Postmates orders, you will still have the ability to set up how you receive replacement requests (either stores choice of best match or a refund of the item). You should continue to process those replacements using your Uber Eats and Postmates tools.
You will still get paid for the Uber Eats or Postmates order even if the item gets returned to the store due to the inability for the order to be completed (i.e. customer does not have an id or is visibly intoxicated). You do not need to change how you handle item returns at this time.
Yes, our direct POS integration enables your store to display net-new items on Uber Eats and Postmates as soon as they are added to your POS system. This means you can start selling these items to your online shoppers almost as quickly as you can get them on your physical shelves.
In order to add new items to your online inventory, you must:
To best align with the goals of our online shoppers, your extras inventory may be limited to include only relevant extras that your store carries. This includes mixers, garnishes, citrus, and other drinkware that shoppers may be interested in to complete their orders.
Note: Once integrated, you will not have access to Uber Eats’ Manager.
At this time, your store’s SKU will not display on your Uber table order details as it had prior to your inventory integration. Our teams recognize that this level of information was previously helpful for your team packing the correct items. We are working on a solution to deliver the information you require to correctly pack these orders through this new inventory management system.
In the meantime, we’ve updated our integration to include key item details, including item size, in the item name field on your Uber table. Please leverage the item name to determine specific item details that the shopper had selected when packaging their order.
