How to request WAV

Open the app and enter your destination in the “Where to?” box. Once you confirm your pickup and destination addresses are correct, select WAV at the bottom of your screen. Then tap Confirm WAV.

A message will pop up with a link to a website where you can find contact details to request a wheelchair-accessible ride from local accessible taxicab options.

For fare difference reimbursement: Take a screenshot that clearly shows the pick-up and drop-off locations, along with the UberX fare.

How to be Reimbursed

  1. Fill out all the information in this form.
  2. Send your taxi trip receipt and a screenshot of the UberX fare to wav-canada-group@uber.com.
  3. Make sure to include the date and time of your trip in the subject line and the pick-up and drop-off locations in the email body so we can verify your trip details.

Your taxi receipt should clearly show the fare, tips, taxes, and the pick-up and drop-off locations. The screenshot should show the UberX fare along with the pick-up and drop-off locations from the Uber app.

You will receive your reimbursement within 45 days through your preferred reimbursement method such as Uber Voucher. Tips are excluded from reimbursement. Trips completed more than 90 days ago are not eligible for reimbursement.
